Creation Astronomy Propaganda Debunked 01
The pilot episode of ‘CrAP Debunked’. If you liked this video, please help to spread it. Various images/videos produced by ESA/NASA/ESO.
Errata:
1. The phrase “Infinite volume hypothesis” is incorrect here. I meant to say either “Infinite density hypothesis” or “Zero volume hypothesis” (each implies the other).
2. Typo. The proton is in fact around one TRILLION times smaller than a full stop, not one billion.
3. Typo. This should of course read “..YouTube account”. Thanks to Agnostic1 for making me aware of that!

wow, this guy said …
wow, this guy said something i totally agree with – there is not much intelligent life on this planet. he is the evidence
The creationists …
The creationists are actually the best evidence that men evolved from apes – the creationists still are apes, pretty much stupid, actually stuck somewhere on the “evolution road”.
“Kent is a good …
“Kent is a good example for someone whos brain fell out.” yes he is so open minded his brain fell out! LOL
The likes of Kent …
The likes of Kent Hovind and Ray Comfort love debating and giving speeches to laymen. They never go up and present their arguments to The Royal Society or the Smithsonian Institute. I wonder why that is…..
Kent is a good …
Kent is a good example for someone whos brain fell out.
I like the part …
I like the part about it being impossible for the entire universe to be spinning, when there is no reference point to be spinning to.
5:10 – Art, too. …
5:10 – Art, too. Look at pre-Constantine roman murals, sculpture, ect; beautiful stuff, you feel like there’s actual depth to them, like on the Arch of Titus.
Post Holy Roman Empire…. we got people and landscapes painted like they belong in the same universe as the 3-right angle triangle; googleimage “bishop maximus, San Vitale”, second pic; who’s in front?!
Andromeda’s Wake, I …
Andromeda’s Wake, I discovered you via thunderf00t. Subscribed!
Well, I wouldn’t …
Well, I wouldn’t say that Kent is preying on these misconceptions, he doesn’t know the facts himself! Now Lisle, sure, he is preying, but Kent has absolutely Zero education post high school, which is essentially out-of-date seeing as he graduated high school 40 years ago.
Kent is a perfect example of what happens when a person who isn’t very intelligent to begin with receives no education to at least attempt to combat their natural aptitude for stupidity.
Have you seen ol’ …
Have you seen ol’ Nephi’s recent comedy video concerning the moon – watch?v=AgJLyNda5YI ?
The new man on the …
The new man on the block.
You rock AndromedasWake
Very good video …
Very good video AndromedasWake!!!
I love astronomy, and destroying creationists. You didn’t even bring up the background radiation found with the WMAP telescope that showed us, with microwaves, a picture of the early universe (I believe it was either at .01s or 3m, something around there). I’m sure you know about this already, but it’s a good one to throw in their face also.
Hey, i’m all for …
Hey, i’m all for that – i think the human race has a unique chance to unravel and become interstellar, intergalactic, and perhaps even more ; but to save the world is a grand goal – rather than that, take on a series of smaller and more accomplishable goals that work towards that overall theme.. remember, Rome wasn’t built in one day, and the world will not suddently be saved in one either, nor will a ‘save the world club’ work towards that end
its amazing how …
its amazing how many people dont know the difference between the world and the planet, the planet is the actual rock in space that we live on, the world is what we make of it and what we choose to do on the planet or even smaller communities, Vegas is a world of its own, the internet is even a world of its own and our own mind can sometimes be a world of its own, yes the planet will be fine but im looking for people interested in saving the world and believe me there is a way
Stars?!? There are …
Stars?!? There are no stars!! They’re just the freckles on god’s big arse!
No, seriously. I love stars. They’re great. Some of my best friends are celestial objects. (Seriously. They are. I’m so lonely.)
Great work brother. …
Great work brother. What do you think about 11 dimensions M theory? i am quite interested in Time , specially genesis of time….
Say AndromedasWake, …
Say AndromedasWake, I just want to say two things.
1. Great vids.
2. ( I’m not sure if you are aware or not, as per one of your posts below ) but we have directly imaged a few extrasolar planets. 2M1207b is one of those few, seen in the Infrared. Make sure you point creatard “scoffers” to the readily available pictures of it on the internet.
Well the fact that …
Well the fact that we have found planets orbiting pulsars is about proof-positive that planetary formation is easier than anyone could have imagined.
I just hate the egotism of the christians, they believe in a Human-Centric Universe. Yes we live on a little rock, only a fraction of which is naturally hospitable for human life. 98% to 99% of all animals that have called earth home are now dead, and we orbit one of around 100 billion stars in a galaxy, while there are billions of galaxies.
@mrich21087 …
@mrich21087 Sometimes, stars are cocooned in such a dense bubble of material when they form, that they don’t shine at all. This is where the beauty of infrared astronomy becomes apparent, because using infrared space telescopes like Spitzer, we can see very young stars inside cocoons. Sadly, we just can’t monitor much of the sky for new stars, and they’d be difficult to detect anyway, and much of the galaxy is not visible to us. But if we look where we expect to see young stars, we find them!
@mrich21087 Solar …
@mrich21087 Solar systems don’t actually form stars, they form after the star has formed. The reason new stars don’t form right where we are is that they form from large clouds of gas and dust called nebulae. Some of the nebula that formed our sun became our sun, and the rest has been dispersed long ago. To see newly forming stars, we look at other nebula – usually very dense ones called ‘stallar nurseries’. Some fine examples are in the Orion nebula, Soul nebula and Carina nebula (cont…)
Why has our solar …
Why has our solar system formed all the stars that it is going to? Is there a certain limit that was reached? Who is to say that it is done? Why would the formation of new stars not happen here if it does elsewhere?
Actually correct me …
Actually correct me if I am wrong but we do see extra solar planets or exo planets exibiting an accretion ring. Keep your eye on the Keplar prrogram. What we are learning is that planets in general are not rare, so there is (according to our pint of veiw from earth) planets still forming.
@mrich21087 An …
@mrich21087 An astrophysicist wouldn’t think that at all. We have found over 400 exoplanets by measuring the effects they have on their parent stars, but we do not see other solar systems in real time. Furthermore, it takes tens of millions of years for a planet to form. If you saw one forming you wouldn’t notice it day to day. Our solar system has already formed all the planets it’s going to. We won’t see others forming from coalescing material til we have some truly beastly space telescopes!
So the formation of …
So the formation of a new planet has never been documented… Kind of weird for a random universe. You would think new planets would be showing up all the time.
well its a good …
well its a good thing they dont run any first world countries cause then we probably would have a witch hunt on science and a global take over of any country that doesn’t believe.
